DAY 26—God’s Love in us sets us free from fear.

It’s becoming clear that fear and God’s Love cannot dwell together. This isn’t so when we try to Love others with our own kind of Love. Loving with our own kind of Love often leaves us with the tendency to worry and to be afraid for those we Love.

I John 4:18—There is no fear in Love; but perfect Love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in Love. NIrV—There is no fear in Love. Instead, perfect Love drives fear away. Fear has to do with being punished. The one who fears does not have perfect Love.

Romans 8:15—For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. NIrV—You didn’t receive a spirit that makes you a slave to fear once again. Instead you received the Holy Spirit, Who makes you God’s child. By the Spirit’s power we call God “Abba.” Abba means Father.

Psalm 34:4—I sought the LORD, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. NIrV—I looked to the Lord, and He answered me. He saved me from everything I was afraid of...

Isaiah 12:2—Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; He also is become my salvation. NIrV—Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; He also is become my salvation.

FATHER, oh FATHER, how I praise You for the Love and the peace You have brought into my life! Let this same Love and peace come over upon these I hold before You. Here are some that especially need this.
